I've been having a lot of conversations lately about what it means to be sustainably minded. For me, it's been about working with fabrics that are more environmentally friendly & supporting ethical production practices. It's also about supporting an American industry that has been hemorrhaging for decades.
In an era where a lot of people are losing their jobs due to plants & factories shutting down, the apparel industry is one that still requires a lot of skilled labor. What better way to create more jobs in our country than to invest in apparel manufacturing? Technology has eliminated a lot of jobs in other industries, but even robots are still incapable of actually constructing our clothes.
