Hi guys! Happy hump day!
It's hard to believe that it was only three weeks ago that we were in Santa Fe for my cousin's wedding. I'm still having vacation withdrawals from my time there. So, to help remedy that, let's go back to one of my favorite evenings there (other than the wedding of course): the rehearsal dinner.
The rehearsal dinner was held at the beautiful, historic Hotel Saint Francis located right off the famous Santa Fe Plaza. With Spanish Colonial details at every turn, it was difficult not to take a million pictures.
For the rehearsal dinner, I chose the beautiful Coral Plaid Necktie for several reasons: it was a perfect bit of formality for the event, it paired well with denim, and the plaid pattern kept things from being too serious. All in all, it was a great choice- it is extremely versatile, with the easy ability to dress it up or down. I paired it with a linen blazer (to dress things up), a pair of Adam's favorite selvedge denim, a chambray button-down, and cognac-colored leather oxfords. And, of course, no necktie-look is truly complete without the finishing touch of a vintage tie bar (this one is ours, but you can find a great selection of vintage tie bars here).
So what do you guys think? Have I inspired you to run out and "get the look?" If not, you can always keep this look in your back pocket for your next rehearsal dinner or evening affair.
