Thanks to our lovely intern, Katie, we will be rolling out a series of blog posts over the next few weeks on the anatomy of a necktie knot, along with step-by-step instructions on how to tackle those different knots. Hope you enjoy! - Kathrine
Today I will be teaching you how to tie the Windsor Knot. This one is definitely the biggest knot, and it's by far the most formal. Here goes!
Start with the wide end on the right.
Cross the wide end to the left over the narrow end.
Cross the wide end up under the neck loop and to the right.
Bring the wide end down through the neck loop and to the left.
Cross the wide end back underneath the narrow end and to the right.
Bring the wide end back up and to the left.
Loop the wide end back around the neck loop.
Cross the wide end of the tie over to the left.
Cross the wide end of the tie back underneath the neck loop and to the right.
Pull the wide end through the loop in the front.
Tighten and adjust as needed.
