In Santa Fe with The Dandy Liar

Hi everyone!  If you saw my Instagram post earlier today, you'll know that I invited one of my oldest friends to do a blog/Insta takeover for the week.  So, meet Aubrey!  Formerly a men's stylist at Fossil, she now has a lovely design blog called TheDandyLiar.  Hope you enjoy!

Hi guys! Aubrey here. As Kathrine's first guest blogger, I will be taking over the blog and instagram this week, where I will walk you through a wedding weekend in Santa Fe, New Mexico. I'll leave you with a weekend's worth of outfits, styled by yours truly, featuring some of the best men's accessories around.

Santa Fe, New Mexico- hands-down, one of the most inspiring cities in our great country (in my humble opinion). So when my cousin Sarah announced she would be getting married there, I definitely did one of these:

Not only did Sarah announce that the wedding would be in my favorite Southwestern city, but that the celebration would manifest itself in the form of a full week of activities.

Next, my thoughts immediately turned to the all-important question of what are we going to wear? A full week of outfits?

That's where my dear friend Kathrine comes in. She generously provided me with a week's worth of neck adornments for my handsome husband, Adam, and gave me full-reign to style to my heart's content.

For the welcome party, I chose the Heathered Grey Necktie (a current best-seller and maybe my favorite piece in the whole collection) to dress this stud. The affair took place in the courtyard at a relative's mountain-top adobe house that overlooked the beautiful views of the city. The organic cotton/hemp material of the tie made it the perfect pick for the evening, where the attire leaned on the casual side. I paired it with an oxblood gingham button-down for contrast, denim and sand-colored suede oxfords. I completed the look with one of Kathrine's vintage tie bars.

In addition to the breathtaking views, the courtyard was surrounded by the most fragrant flowers.

Here is one of those breathtaking views I was talking about. Take me back!

So there you have it- outfit number one. And below, I've selected some of my favorite pieces to help you get the look.
